Lori’s Hands provides in-home support to people with chronic illnesses like cancer, MS, Lou Gehrig’s disease, and heart failure. Most of the volunteers with Lori’s Hands are students from the University of Delaware who are a part of the 3-credit service learning course for the University’s College of Health Sciences. The support from the volunteers leaves a huge impact on the patients as well as creating a personal and meaningful learning experience for the students and volunteers themselves.
