Clothing Our Kids improves the lives of at-risk elementary school children by providing them with essential school clothing. They understand that in this economy many do not have appropriate school clothing and that this can impact their ability to learn, their self-esteem, and their probability of regular attendance. Lori’s Hands provides in-home support to people with chronic illnesses like cancer, MS, Lou Gehrig’s disease, and heart failure. Most of the volunteers with Lori’s Hands are students from the University of Delaware who are a part of the 3-credit service learning course for the University’s College of Health Sciences. The support from the volunteers leaves a huge impact on the patients as well as creating a personal and meaningful learning experience for the students and volunteers themselves.

The Ronald McDonald House provides a comfortable and supportive “home away from home” for families of seriously or chronically ill or injured children receiving treatment at area hospitals.
